Roger’s Kitchen

Roger’s Kitchen is a Caribbean restaurant and bar, serving authentic flavours in easy going but elegant surroundings.

The head chef and owner Roger Shakes came to London in 1999 from Westmoreland, Jamaica.  Not long afterwards he began washing plates at Mango Rooms in Camden Town. Combining the knowledge passed down from his grandmothers with the craft he learned from the chefs around him, he soon realised his own talent for food and the joy of feeding others. He rose to become head chef at Mango Rooms where he remained until very recently. He has now struck out on his own opening ‘Roger’s Kitchen’ in September 2020. 

Roger’s Kitchen serves old favourites such as curry goat, jerk chicken, rice n’ peas and fried plantain alongside new fish, meat and vegan dishes. A choice selection of rums and carefully curated cocktails awaits you at the bar. And if you are not yet able to join us to dine in, take away options and private catering are also available.
